Emmanuel Announcements:

The Farmer's Wife stand will continue this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 3-4!Please check the sign-up shet in the vestibule and see where you can help.

Grace Announcements:

Sunday, Sept. 28 the Blessing of the Animals will take place during worship. Rain or shine, we will bless your pets either outdoors or indoors. Pictures of pets are acceptable and we will bless the memory of deceased pets as well and you may wish to bring your loved one's picture for that blessing. Let us honor our animal companions and all of creation on the 28th!

The Church Growth committee will meet on Tuesday, September 30, at 7:30PM at Grace. All are welcome to come and share your input to help our church to grow in many ways.

Would you like to be a Prayer Buddy? A Prayer Buddy is an adult who will commit to praying regularly for one of the children who is an attendee or connected in some way with the church family. The Prayer Buddy, in addition to praying, will send cards (no gifts, please) for birthdays and holidays, and make sure that child is greeted whenever he/she is seen. A sign-up sheet is available in the vestibule. Children will choose from the list (please do not be insulted if you are not chosen as there will likely be more adults available than children. Prayer Buddies will be commissioned for this ministry on World Communion Sunday, October 3.

Rally Day at Grace is October 12 and will be celebrated during the worship service. There will be a Hymn Sing along with Charles Burkholder sharing about his extended mission trip to Thailand, Vietnam, Burma, Laos, Nepal, China, Tibet and Egypt. A fellowship meal will follow the service. The Council will provide sandwiches and drinks. If you are able, please bring a side dish or dessert to share. Place settings will be provided. All are welcome to join in this joy-filled day!

The Ladies of Grace will meet on Thursday, October 16, at 6:30PM. Bring a snack if you'd like! Included in the meeting will be a discussion about our fall fundraisers and planning for a meal for the Youth Center. All ladies of Grace and friends are welcome!

The Grace Family Hayride will be on Sunday, October 26, at 5:30PM at Joel's Woods. Invite friends! A signup sheet is provided in the vestibule for those who plan to come.

St. Johnís Announcements:

Sunday, Sept. 28, St. John's will celebrate Harvest Home during worship.

Saturday, October 11th, the Vonada family is participating in the Alzheimer's Association "Walk to end Alzheimer's" in State College. They are walking in memory of Viola "Kitty" Vonada, and would appreciate any donations to help find a cure. The team goal is $2000, and all gifts are tax deductible. Checks can be made out to Alzheimer's Association, and all donations should be turned in by October 5th. If you would like to donate or join our team at the walk, please contact Philip Vonada.

Tri-Penn Announcements:

Monday, Sept. 29, 7:00 p.m. Bible Study on the Beatitudes will be held at the parsonage. Let's revisit what Jesus taught about blessings and how to find them in the most difficult of circumstances. If you can't make all sessions Ė not to worry. Each class has a standalone message and will be held weekly on Mondays, concluding on October 13.

Wednesday, 7:00 Oct. 1, 7:00 p.m. Group Spiritual Formation will take place at the parsonage. We will have a brief time of prayer and then enter into the group process. If you can't attend every session, you can follow along and quickly see how it's done. We will meet weekly on Wednesday evenings concluding on October 15. All are invited.


Neighbor's in Need Special Mission Offering will be received Sunday, Oct. 5 (World Communion Sunday) at all three churches.

Our denomination's own Hartman Center is holding its annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 18 from 9:00-3:00 at the camp in Milroy. Opportunities abound for local churches to help at stands, donate food items or baskets for the silent auction, or simply give monetary donations to help underwrite the many activities afforded that day.
